All about joining West Lakes U3A
Any person who is not in full time employment may join U3A. Prospective new members are welcome to a couple of meetings or activities as visitors before joining us.
You can join us by completing and submitting a membership form (see link below) and paying a fee, currently £7.00 per person, for that year (January to December). It is then renewable annually in January. This fee covers capitation fees to the U3A Central Office which includes Public Liability Insurance, and the general costs of administering West Lakes U3A. There will be a small additional charge at most meetings to cover room hire, speakers' fees and refreshments.
Membership information and details are held on a database which is only accessible to U3A Committee members and U3A Group Leaders for the purpose of maintaining membership records, for providing contact details for the communication of events and changes to our programme and for other routine U3A related communications. The data is NOT released to any other organisation or person and will not be used for anything other than U3A business.
To comply with the General Data Protection Regulations each member is required to sign to confirm that they agree for their details to be held in this way and used for the above purposes.

Membership forms will be available at most main speaker meetings. It is also available for download from a link below or can be requested from the membership secretary. Current members will receive one automatically with their January events bulletin, either by email or post.
